Institutional Community linkage is one of the best practices of the Institution and this is ensured by motivating the Students towards Institutional responsibility through extension activities performed in the Neighbourhood community. Youth Redcross Unit, NCC, NCC have played important roles in these Initiatives. The student’s involvement in extension activities does not only broaden their outlook but also motivates them to learn the human values, spirit of community service & nationalism in the true sense. More than 100 Extension activities have been organized by the Redcross unit. The College Organized workshops on health awareness of the female students on menstrual hygiene to sensitize them on health issues very common to girls from rural areas.

The College ensures the involvement of the community with the outreach initiatives organized by the College.

• NSS camps, involve the rural people in the cultural, awareness activities. Students of the department participated in Blood donations camps, worked as volunteers in distribution of tri-cycles to the handicapped.
• Red cross activities
• Medical checkup camps
• Workshops on health awareness programs

NCC cadets also participate in Blood donation camps.

Impact

• It inculcates in them the values of compassion, co-ordination, co-operation and commitment.
• The students are trained in community and civic values. It is helpful for the students in understanding the importance of team work, the virtues of leadership, & inter-personal relationship
• The students can understand the importance of team work can develop the virtues of leadership, Inter-personal relationship.
• The academic projects assigned to them Involving field work helps them to understand the rustic life and the problems of rural people.
• Extension activities help to instill in them self-confidence, enthusiasm, fraternity and self-esteem.
• The students are promoted to develop teaching skill, counseling skills, Interpersonal relationship.
• The College ensures the involvement of community in its outreach activities. Several initiatives are taken by the College to encourage community participation. The details are as under.
• NSS camps (for 07 Days) are organized in every academic session in remote villages. The consent of the village Sarpanch is assured before organizing the NSS camp in the village.
• The College ensures participation of villages in the activities of the camps. Few village people are nominated as the local representative in the camps.
• The village people actively participate in the initiatives of awareness of the students. ‘Prabhat Pheris’ and other extension activities organized in the camps. The students participating in NSS activities are promoted to participate in health checkup programs, distribution of free medicines
